Last week I logged on the Verizon Wireless (VZW) website to check my bill and it must have been my LUCKY DAY because there was this little box that said I was eligible for an upgrade. I thought this was great because my crackberry/blackberry (bless it's little heart) has just had it. One time, I was on the stair stepper at Gold's Gym and talking to my BFF Lesley on my BB and I sweat so much that it got under my screen, in my keyboard and messed my phone up (lol, gross I know!) I had to dry it out with a blow-dryer and ever since then it just hasn't worked that well. My space bar sticks, it's freezing up, there are these markings on the inside of the screen (I think from the dried sweat), and the screen is scratched from where I have dropped it.
Needless to say, I am ready for a new phone! Well, the next day Justin (my boyfriend) and I went to the Verizon store and I ordered a Droid Incredible (this was on 5/11).
Apparently, this phone is suppose to be better than the Iphone. I don't really know, but I do know that VZW has amazzzzinnngg coverage. When I ordered the phone, I was told that I would get it before 5/29 because it was on back order, but many people were receiving them a week after they placed the order. Well, I still haven't gotten my phone yet. Everyday I am checking my order status, looking at Incredible forums to see if other people have gotten their phone, reading about what I can do with the phone, watching youtube videos about the phone, talking about the phone (to everyone I see), and now I am blogging about it. Basically, I am totally obsessed. I have called VZW customer service twice and went to the store once in the week that has past since ordering the phone to "track it"... hoping that they will tell me a different date than 5/29. Who can pay for an awesome phone..and then be forced to wait 3 weeks until they can have it!?! It is SO cruel. I am a child when it comes to waiting for things. I am the most impatient person....EVER.
I have had a few different kind of smart phones in the past and they all had their fair share of issues, but according to the reviews this is the best phone yet. Guess I will see.....11 more days until I will have it in my hands. (By the way, I plan to take much better care of this phone!!!)
Let me know what you think about the Android software or the Incredible!!!

I'm in the upstate of South Carolina and ordered the Incredible last Monday 5/10 from the Greenville Verizon store on Woodruff Rd. I have not heard a word about it either and was told that it would ship today 5/19, but that it might show up earlier.
ReplyDeleteI think sales of this phone have been so *cough* Incredible that they have gotten way behind on ship dates. I agree that the wait has been a bit torturous, but I'll try to drop back in and let you know when it ships. Hopefully today. GRIN
